Background

My-Tools.ie is the online store of Ronayne’s Homevalue; a long established family business, renowned for its customer service.

A selected Dewalt Centre for Ireland, my-tools.ie stocks and sells cordless and corded power tools, woodworking and eductational tools, and is a specialist in Educational Woodworking & Dust extraction equipment.

Brief

My-tools engaged Dotser to provide and deliver a solution to integrate in-store sales and ecommerce sales.

Their pain-point was that customers were ordering products online which were actually out-of-stock because the stock system wasn’t integrated. For example, a customer could have processed a power tool order online because it was in stock on the online system, but it couldn't be processed because another staff member may have picked it up off the shelf to sell to somebody else in store, which wasn't registering on the online store. 

Solution

Dotser developed a custom integration piece to Agility; their existing point of sales system. This solution provides near real-time stock updates and price points. So, if an item is sold in-store, the website stock value is adjusted to reflect that sale.
